Expect Variability, Including in School

Everyone has good days and bad days. In the case of a child with ADHD, this means that their symptoms and academic performance will vary greatly as well. The change may occur from one moment to the next, from situation to situation, or day to day. What is important to remember is that variability is due to how the condition works on a neurological level; it is not due to laziness or lack of willpower on the part of the child with ADHD.
